Our Pets

Lily Kelly 🌈

We believe it’s important to make space to celebrate the lives of the pets who have given us far more than words can express. The companionship animals offer often reaches places deeper than many human connections, filling our homes and hearts with unconditional love, loyalty, comfort, and joy.

According to her mom Beth, “Lily was a silly, sweet part of our family. She was a real trooper that tolerated being dressed in endless costumes–including football jerseys–and being carried around like a baby.  She loved, loved food of all kinds and snuggling endlessly on the couch with Miller.”

Today, we want to honor the life of Lily Kelly, who crossed the rainbow bridge on April 21. Many of us had the joy of meeting Lily during Beth and Chris’s visits here and know how special she was to their family. We’ll miss seeing her and we’re sending our love to her family.

Our Updates

Bridge Update:

Our bridge crew is making great progress! If you missed some of the incredible scenes shared via our community email, take a look at these photos capturing the project in progress.

Utilities Update:

Well #7 is now in compliance because it has an accessible door. THANK YOU to Marianne & John Plain, along with Everett Roach!

The Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) has also been successfully repaired and brought up to functional use in its original location–one that is now a temporary spot. Thanks to the Army Corps of Engineers, Jeff Banks Grading, James & James, and FEMA for making this emergency repair possible.

Currently, plans are being finalized for the permanent location of the WWTP. Again, thanks to FEMA for providing funding for mitigation planning and rebuilding of the future permanent WWTP in our community.

More information on our WWTP will be included in a future issue of The North Cove Connection. Stay tuned!

Second, we have launched the new POA website: linvillefallsclub.com. Finally, we held our first Town Hall held in March at The Catawba~A Boutique Lodge, followed by pizza from Cellucci's and fun games at Birdies. Special thanks to Melanie and Kyle for opening their doors to us!
